Company History

        Erie James Limited is a family-owned and operated produce grower-marketer-shipper providing industry-acknowledged gold-standard service since 1940.
        Started as the Howard James Company Ltd. to help local farmers market their goods, Erie James Limited has evolved into a full service company that markets and distributes hydroponic and field-grown produce to destinations across North America and abroad.
        The Howard James Company became Erie James Limited after employee Don Slater purchased the company with business partner Tony Darowski. The pair eventually merged with Erie Produce Ltd. and changed the company name.
        Today, Erie James Limited is owned and operated by brothers Mark and Jim Slater, the second generation of Slaters who maintain the company's reputation of quality, integrity and professionalism.
